Stand Alone Energy Products for Facility Managers
Savings analysis model
Compares end user electric costs using historic
monthly usage, historic utility rates and retailer rates to determine
savings from electric choice.
The key to any savings analysis model is complete and accurate information.
Our utility rate database contains complete and detailed billing determinants
for many utility rates. We handle the idiosyncrasies of utility rates
and maintain up to date histories, so the user need only enter monthly
usage and retailer prices.Uses:
Uses:
- Offer evaluation
- Management reports on effectiveness of retail access.
- Impact of new or proposed utility rate changes on saving
Retail pricing model
Compares end user electric costs using projected
or historic monthly usage, current or projected utility rates, desired
margins and wholesale prices to establish a retail price.
Uses:
- Value supply to each facility from central sourcing
MVWeb scraping
Automatically downloads MVWeb data and populates
a database. Our system automates the complex and time consuming MVWeb
data acquisition process so that any user or retailer may benefit
from it’s use. Once the user enters a list of MVWeb sites, IDs, and
passwords, and tells the system how frequently to download data and
where to store it, the system takes over keeping your interval data
up to date. If the MVWeb site is down or slow because of heavy use,
the system keeps trying until the data is acquired.
Uses:
- Tracking facility electric use
- Monitoring operating changes/performance
- Load shape aggregation for wholesale pricing
Standard load shapes
Portfolio of over 80 standard load shapes based
on business types (SIC codes). (Michigan only). This product allows
conversion of monthly utility billing data to hourly load shapes using
load profiles that are more business specific than utility standard
shapes. A key feature of our load shape package, is a “rosetta” stone
that relates most 4 digit SIC Codes to one of the 80 load shapes.
This is particularly valuable in the non-manufacturing arena, where
there are thousands of SIC Codes but 24 load shapes.
Uses:
- Use in any of the above models where interval detail is lacking
- Forecasting
Weather sensitive load equations
Equations based on historic interval data for
a group of facilities. Custom load shape equations based on your interval
data and local weather conditions. Refined load shaping for forecasting
and pricing. Reduces imbalance costs by capturing weather effects
in scheduling forecasts.
