About REBO
REBO was formed in 2001 by Thomas E. Root to use his skills and experience to help players in the deregulated electric market develop or improve their information systems. Prior to forming REBO he ran the deregulated retail electric back office at DTE Energy providing marketing support, competitive intelligence, and information and management systems services.
He led the retail back office operations for DTE Energy Marketing and provided data management and forecasting services to DTE Edison America, DTE Energy Trading and Green Mountain Energy. His group provided ever increasing services to these companies as the managed sales volume grew by 250%/yr. Using a phased approach to system development around a customer information core, he built and implemented a marketing back office system at a fraction of the cost of commercial products, and reduced $/MWh operating cost by 90% over three years.
REBO's experience in information and management services includes development, implementation and integration of offer management, contract and agreement management, EDI and XML certification and processing, forecasting, billing, accounting, reconciliation and risk management.
